The "Poliwelfare" Research Unit is a leading group in Spain and the Valencian Community specialized in research, development and innovation, and management of social policies.
Nowadays, its research policy is focused on the economic, social and political sustainability of social health care systems. Poliwelfare advices the Civil Service about the new development of social health care resources for dependent people and companies that have decided to invest and exploit such kind of resources.
It is made up of a multidisciplinary group of experts in medicine, law, psychology, sociology, pedagogy, statistics, economy and social work. It has been granted funding for research projects from the following official bodies: UNESCO Chair, European Social Fund, Ministry of Education and Sciences, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Sciences and Technology and Generalitat Valenciana (Spain).
