  • 05/02/2025

Jorge Garcés took part today, 5 February, in the presentation of the Digital Rights Observatory. The event was chaired by Óscar López, Minister for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, and Luisa Alli, Secretary General of the Hermes Foundation.

The Digital Rights Observatory is a public-private initiative financed with European NextGeneration funds, born with the purpose of promoting and defending the rights of citizens in the digital environment, as well as the implementation of the Spanish Digital Rights Charter.

In this field, the Polibienestar research institute of the University of Valencia coordinated the PROLIFIC project, funded by Erasmus+, between 2020 and 2024. The main purpose of PROLIFIC was to empower vulnerable groups (migrants, elderly people and people with disabilities) in their digital rights by developing innovative training tools for the prevention of online fraud and abuse, through the training of professionals and educators, thus promoting the protection of the most vulnerable groups, their social inclusion and digital well-being.
