The main objective of MIG-DHL is to increase the competences (attitudes, knowledge, skills) of migrants in order to improve their DIGITAL HEALTH LITERACY.

The project has the following specific objectives:

– To raise awareness among migrants about the importance of digital health literacy.

– To develop digital health skills in the migrant population and empower them to play a more active role in their self-management of health, strengthening aspects related to the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 and other similar situations.

– Train health professionals to support the migrant population.

– Involve and train migrant colleagues so that they can support newly arrived migrants.

Migrants are vulnerable to serious health disparities, with many experiencing poorer health outcomes. Access to health and social services is a primary indicator of the level of integration (www.migranthealth.eu). These health risks require effective strategies to enable migrants to recognise, minimise and respond effectively to potential health problems in the host country (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18387773).
