Jorge Garcés attends the opening of the Elisan General Assembly 2026

Valencia will host the 2026 ELISAN GENERAL ASSEMBLY: “Empowering Communities: Inclusion of People with Disabilities and Volunteering for Social Change,” on June 15, 16, and 17, 2026.

This year, Valencia is hosting this important European event because the Presidency of ELISAN (European Network for Local Inclusion and Social Action) is held by the Valencian Institute of Social Services (IVASS) and the Valencian Regional Government. This meeting brings together policymakers, professionals, and civil society to share innovative practices, exchange strategies, and promote inclusive policies that empower people with disabilities and vulnerable groups, improve citizen participation, and strengthen the role of volunteering.

The sessions on June 15 and 16 were held at the IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Art). Yesterday, an internal session on the Venice Declaration took place, and today the ELISAN General Assembly was held.
