Inmaculada has got a Degree in Economic and Business Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a PhD in Economy by Universidad de Extremadura. She is currently the secretary of Universidad de Extremadura.
Her research interests are social protection systems, both private and public, especially the retirement and unemployment pensions.
Some of her papers have been published by important national and international journals such as Journal of Risk and Insurance, Insurance, Mathematics and Economics, Revista de Economía Aplicada, Innovar, and Hacienda Pública Española.
She has provided a chapter to a publication by World Bank about the pension system reform with national accounts. She has been the main researcher and a member of the team in some important research projects funded by Fipros, Fundación Edad y Vida, Fundación Mapfre, and Instituto de Estudios Fiscales. She has received Premio Landaburu 2013 and an award by Asociación de Autónomos.
She has coordinated some journals and has supervised two doctoral theses. She has contributed to several conferences with her lectures about the sustainability of the Spanish pension and unemployment systems.
