Marcos Alonso has got a Degree in Political Science by Universidad de Granada and a PhD in Sociology by Universidad de Murcia.
He is currently an assistant lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at Universidad de Murcia. He teaches some subjects related to sociology like ageing sociology.
He has been awarded with post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Surrey (Programme Marie Curie- UK), Portland State University (Programme CajaMadrid, USA) and UCLA (Programme Mec-Fulbright, USA).
His papers have been published in international journals such us Social Science and Medicine and Sociological Research Online.
