Third Transnational Meeting of the DanceCare Project in Athens

Third Transnational Meeting of the DanceCare Project in Athens

  • 11/03/2026

On 10 and 11 March, the Third Transnational Meeting of the European DanceCare project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, took place in Athens (Greece). This meeting was a key opportunity to assess the progress of the project and coordinate the next steps among the international partners.

During the working sessions, held at the Aktios Elderly Care Unit, project partners discussed several important aspects:

  • Analysis of the preliminary results of the DanceCare pilot programme, implemented in Spain, Greece and Italy, sharing lessons learned, observed impacts and possible challenges identified during its implementation.
  • Definition of the structure and content of the project’s final report, to which all partner organisations will contribute.
  • Dissemination and exploitation strategies, targeting both the scientific community and the general public, including publications, conferences and outreach content on social media.
  • Organisation of the upcoming Multiplier Events, which will take place in the coming months in Spain, Greece and Italy, with the aim of sharing the project’s methodology and results with professionals, caregivers and local communities.
  • Review of the project’s dissemination data, including social media posts and the reach of activities carried out so far on Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as a discussion on the sustainability of the project’s e-learning platform and YouTube channel, ensuring that the resources developed remain available beyond the end of the project.
  • Presentation and discussion of the DanceCare Handbook, a key resource designed to transfer the methodology based on Dance Movement Therapy and mindful movement as an emotional support tool for long-term caregivers.

The DanceCare project continues to move forward in promoting mindful movement and dance as innovative tools for emotional education and support for caregivers.
