Polibienestar Research Institute is currently collaborating in different European projects that aim to improve the health, well-being and quality of life of the elderly and their families by applying comprehensive and innovative approaches.

In this sense, we would like to highlight the DANCECARE Project – Dance Movement Therapy and Conscious Movement as innovative tools in emotional education and support for long-term caregivers. The project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, aims to reduce the burden of care and reduce the risk of depression and isolation of formal and informal caregivers of older people requiring long-term care, as well as to improve the quality of life of older people.

To meet this objective, an innovative blended training based on mind-body methodologies including the use of Dance Movement Therapy and the Wise Motion method will be designed and implemented.

To ensure that the training programme is tailored to the needs and interests of formal and informal caregivers one of the first steps implemented has been to design and distribute a questionnaire to collect the opinions of experts in the field of Dance Movement Therapy and mind-body work in a total of 4 languages (Spanish, Greek, Italian and English).
