Find out about the first results of the DanceCARE project on the benefits of Dance Movement Therapy

The DanceCARE project partners are joining their efforts to achieve the main objective of the project: to reduce the burden on informal caregivers of care tasks provided to older people in need of long-term care.
To this end, innovative educational tools will be developed based on Dance Movement Therapy (DMT), a psychotherapeutic intervention model based on creative movement that seeks the psychological and physical well-being of the person.
In order to gather information from DMT experts on how this approach can improve the burden of care, reduce isolation, develop emotional awareness and contrast depressive and physical symptoms derived from caregiving, a questionnaire was carried out and completed by a total of 140 DMT experts.
