International conference on Child to Parent Violence: Innovations in Practice, Policy and Research
12/06/2014
Child to Parent Violence is an act by any child (under the age of 18 years) intended to cause physical, psychological and/or financial harm to gain power and control over a parent/ carer. It is an emerging problem that is coming more frequently to the attention of social workers and their colleagues in mental health, child protection and welfare and family support services throughout Europe. As part of a wider 5 nation EU funded project, with Polibienestar as part of the scientific team, the National University of Ireland at Galway (NUI Galway) on the west coast of Ireland is hosting a major international conference on Child to Parent Violence: Innovations in Practice, Policy and Research on the 12 and 13th of June 2014.
