Ester Bódalo has got a Degree in Social Work and a Degree and PhD in Sociology by Universidad de Murcia. She teaches in the field of social work at undergraduate and graduate levels.
She has been teaching at this university since 2003 and she is a member of the research group “Sociología del Bienestar y del Envejecimiento”.
She published two books and many papers about ageing sociology in scientific journals like REIS, Portularia, Revista de Sociología de la Universidad do Porto, and Trabajo Social Hoy, among others.
She has been part of two European research projects and she was the coordinator of the training “Gestión de casos y aplicación práctica en atención a la Dependencia” at Universidad de Murcial for six years. She was also a visiting researcher at Hochschule Emden (Germany) and University of Turku (Finland).
