  • 04/03/2024

Are you a social-healthcare professional working with people with Parkinson’s disease? Would you like to learn about Integrated Care in Parkinson’s disease?

The SUPER project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, has recently finished and its main result is a training course aimed at social and health professionals interested in the application of integrated care in Parkinson’s disease.

Both the contents and the methodologies of the course were co-designed with the end-users (people with Parkinson’s disease and their relatives/caregivers and social-health professionals) with the aim of meeting their real needs.

The overall aim of the training course is to improve the knowledge, competences and skills of health and social care professionals about Parkinson’s disease and its treatment, the integrated care approach and integrated care applied to Parkinson’s disease.

Through this training course learners will be able to:

– Acquire knowledge and deepen their understanding of the clinical aspects of Parkinson’s disease, the treatments available and the resources available for the management of Parkinson’s disease.

– Acquire knowledge and tools on the model of comprehensive care for Parkinson’s disease, learning about the new model of person-centred care, the new professional roles and competencies and the importance of digitalisation in health.

– Acquire skills on how to apply the integrated care model in Parkinson’s disease, especially on how to work with a person with Parkinson’s disease, strengthen communication skills, how to manage complex situations, etc.

The course is available in English, Spanish, Italian and French and can be taken free of charge through this online platform also developed in the framework of the project.

The training is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Learners are responsible for their own learning process and can manage their time according to their needs. To do so, they will have to register for free on the platform (if they want to obtain a certificate of achievement). Otherwise, they can access the platform using a generic account (User: Super – Password: sUPER).

In addition, the course materials (in all languages) can be downloaded free of charge via the official project website.

To find out more about the SUPER project visit the official website or follow its social networks (LinkedIn and Twitter) where you can find people and/or organisations related to the project’s topic.
